Anniversary of my First Wedding!

Not MY wedding anniversary...but this marks the day of my very first wedding all by myself exactly three years ago! Wow, I can't believe it has been three years already! The crazy thing about that weekend, which I'm not sure if I would still do today, is that I had this wedding of Kenny and Krista up in Medford, OR on Friday the 31st and then the very next day I had another wedding down in Sacramento!

I have had ups and downs in taking wedding photos...some days where I have felt like everything turned out awesome and I feel like I did a great job and a lot of other times where I realize how much more I have to learn! I have a long way to go...

But for now, to reminisce, here are a few favorites from the wedding of Krista and Kenny. I tweaked a few things on them since my shooting and editing has changed over the past few years and I realized how may of them did not have correct exposure or focus but you live and learn! We went up to Crater Lake which was AMAZING!! I would do it again for sure!

This first shoe picture has to be one of my all time favorites!

The Dalles Art Show

I was approached by a friend who lived in The Dalles, OR and she was doing an art show there; she was wondering if I wanted to be one of the artists in the show. It was scheduled for less than two months after I would have had my baby but it sounded so fun! An art show is something that has crossed my mind but I have never actually pursued entering anything in one, so I felt crazy but I said YES! Somehow I gathered enough work to submit it to the The Dalles Art Center by the end of April.

I don't know how it happened. Honestly I don't.

We stuffed our 3 kids into our Corolla and drove 10+ hours to The Dalles. I felt crazy, and I still think it was crazy but it worked.

Now I can say I did an art show! I learned A LOT! Sometimes I learned the hard way, but in the end it all turned out and I am glad that I did it. Here are the pieces...I wanted to do some other theme but ran out of time and figured that plants and flowers were beautiful and easier than any of the other ideas I had floating in my head!

Here is the flyer...I scanned it so it's not the best quality! Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

Donny & Taylor | Sacramento Wedding Photography

I love these two! Their reception was in Danville and since I had just had a baby about 8 weeks before their wedding I didn't get to go to that, but I wish I did! Everything looked darling! Luckily I did get to spend the afternoon with these two and they seem just perfect for each other. Lots of fun, lots of crazy faces...we all had a good time! Thanks Donny and Taylor for letting me be a part of the fun!!
 Love you guys!

Glen & Kelsey | Sacramento Family Photography

Here are just a couple from my cute sister and her lovely family! We shot these while dodging frisbees...though I thought the location was worth it. Very cute and first time I shot at Orangevale Park even though I live so close to it and went to High School right across the street...this was actually my first time ever on their Frisbee golf course! More will come later!

Sorry for all these half posts...I have been so busy trying to juggle three kids and photography and I think I may finally be getting the hang of it...kind of!
